Vintage cute overload: kissing poodle salt and pepper shakers

Day 125 of Vintage 365

If you were in the neighbourhood and popped by my place for a visit, upon seeing my decor you'd quickly realize that I particularly enjoy two different categories: vintage and kawaii. Yes, indeedy, I have no qualms with admitting that I adore things that are squeal-inducingly sweet!

From plush animals to Japanese Pullip dolls, Hello Kitty to darling little barrettes, I have soft spot for things that are cute and wonderfully girly.

I fell in love with all things kawaii several years ago, and have loved adorable things of all manner for my whole life. If I get the chance to blend my love of the past with my adoration of cute items, all the absolute better!

Recently while window shopping and doing a little retail daydreaming over at Plasticland, I spied what has to be one of the most precious sets of salt and pepper shakers I've ever seen.

Styled to look vintage poodles from the 40s/50s, these heartwarmingly sweet “kissing” S&P shakers are so fantastically fun! Whether you have shelves of salt and pepper shakers already are looking for your first set, it's hard to imagine anyone not smiling over - and falling in love with - these practical, entirely adorable, vintage pups.

Crafted from hand-painted glazed ceramic, these snuggly pink and black poodles measure in at 3" high x 1.5" wide, meaning that they're small enough to fit on even the tiniest of kitchen tables or knickknack shelves.

At $14.00 a pair these twee poodle salt and pepper shakers are a relatively affordable way to merge cuddly with old school kitchen decor, for a fabulously playful way to celebrate the joys of items that are both vintage and cute - just the way I like it! Smile
