Yes, that is a triple exclamation mark worthy title, because my excitement levels are pretty much off the charts right now, let me tell you!!! At long, long last the day that I have waited patiently through 364 others for has returned once more and I'm as giddy as hummingbird that got into a Halloween candy factory about it!
Soon costumes will donned, any last minute seasonal decor placed out, candles lit and put inside of jack-o-lanterns, the pitter-patter of equally exuberant children will echo through the bitingly crisp hair and crunchy maple leaf clad streets, and I will transform into my chosen character for the night (which I'll be sharing with you all here next week in a festive Halloween costume outfit post).

I know how busy many of us today and thus this isn't going to be a long post in the slightest. I just wanted to take a moment on my favourite holiday to wish you each, from the very bottom of my hearts, a marvelously merry, safe, fun filled, spooktastically awesome All Hallows Eve!
As you may have noticed being the last day of October and this entry appearing in place of it, I'm forgoing the usual end-of-the-month Vintage Link Love post because I know most us have way too much on the go to read through a bunch of links right now. I'll make sure to find some especially terrific ones next month to make up for skipping this one.
Speaking of skipping, I need to hop merrily along and get on with this thrilling, uber fun filled day, my dear friends. I will be posting again in a couple of days, as usual, and will officially be announcing (and inviting people to take part in) 2015's Vintage Secret Santa gift exchange next week, which I'm immensely excited about as well.
Right now though, it's time to slip into orange and black, whip up some more festive treats, and countdown the nanoseconds until tonight!
Joyfully fantastic Halloween wishes, everyone!!!
Happiest of Halloween's to you Jessica, I hope you have fun xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! It's great that it's such a big thing where you live, so you can celebrate as much as you like; in England it isn't a big deal, so nobody does much here. Hope you have a great time!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, sweet dear. We had a delightful fun celebration, which I'm looking forward to sharing snaps from a little later this week. I hope that you can always get an extra dose of Halloween enjoyment from my blog, where it is celebrated to the nth degree (gleefully! :)) every year.
DeleteWishing you a beautiful November,
♥ Jessica
Wishing you a merry Halloween as well! Hope you have a fantastic favorite holiday :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, lovely lady! We definitely had a fun, action packed celebration and I'm almost a little blue that there's very nearly a year to go now until it returns again. It's okay though, I buck up my spirits by thinking about how enjoyable the next one will be, too, and starting to daydream about what 2016's costume may be. :)
DeleteBig hugs & happy start of November wishes,
♥ Jessica
Haooy Halloween Jessica
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing day and a spooktacular evening, Jessica! xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! Have a wonderful day and lots of fun tonight!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween Jessica! I simply can't wait to see your costume! Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, darling gal! I can hardly wait to share what we wore on the big night here a little later in the week. I hope you had a marvelous, fun filled celebration as well!
DeleteTons of hugs,

Happy Halloween, Jessica! I'm putting on my costume (Colonel Sanders) and getting ready to go out.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, Ally! I hope that you had an over-the-(crescent)-moon great time!

Thank you, dear. I hope your Halloween was just as fantastic as you want it to be, and I will look forward to seeing your costume soon. Did you see my Halloweenthrowback on IG? I tagged you, but know you've been busy. The witch costume I mentioned from 1986. Yep, THAT long ago. ;) I'm old, sigh! As mentioned I wasn't at home at Halloween's eve, so I put out a bowl of candy for the kids to help themselves, and it was all gone when I came home. DH said that it might be the first trick'or'treaters that took it all, but I wrote a note that there should be enough for everybody and I like to think that there was. We will never know, but I hope I am the good neighbour now. Have a lovely day, dear. I'm home with a back ache. :( PS: I already look forward to this year's VSS, I am so glad you're hosting it again, dear.
ReplyDeleteHi sweet Sanne, oh no, I am so very sorry that you've been hit hard by a backache. They're terrible, insidious things and it genuinely pains me to think of you battling one. I hope, if such is possible, that it will let up very quickly for you.
DeleteLike yourself, I want to think the best of people and will choose to believe that the kids did abide by the rules of fairness and only took a piece or two of candy each until the bowl was empty at the end of the night.
Thank you very much for tagging me. I absolutely adored seeing your super cool 1980s witch costume and the fabulous makeup you paired it with. Your passion for Halloween absolutely radiates through that fun, festive ensemble. It's so admirable that you've always embraced and adored All Hallows' Eve, despite it not, traditionally, being popular or overly embraced in your country. You rock, Sanne, and I truly enjoyed sharing in another fantastic Halloween season together with you.
Tons of hugs & happy start of November wishes,
♥ Jessica
I hope you had an amazing Halloween, Jessica! I can't wait to see your costume.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, my dear friend. It was a blast and I can hardly wait to share some snaps of our evening here asap! I hope that yours was totally delightful as well!
DeleteBig hugs & happy start of November wishes,
♥ Jessica
A belated Happy Halloween! I hope that, with all your preparation, creativity and enthusiasm, you had a wonderful time. Really enjoyed reading your pre-Halloween posts, both your outfit posts and the vintage photos and illustrations you'd chosen. I haven't seen 'Hocus Pocus' for years, but now feel an urgent need to watch it again! I was obsessed with it when it came out. Samantha x
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, dear Samantha. We had a splendid celebration - which, thankfully, was rain-free in the end (it had rained often in the days before and then on the morning of the big day itself) and thus allowed us to get in some fun photos, while in costume, out in the front yard (which will be part of my Halloween costume post here this week).
DeleteI hope you were able to catch Hocus Pocus again. It's the ultimate Halloween movie for me, though I'm quick to say that both of the Addams Family films from the 90s are pretty up there for me, too. :)
Many hugs & happy start of November wishes,
♥ Jessica
Jess,
ReplyDeleteThe lack of "link love" is forgiven, because I know how much you enjoy this amazing day.. I hope you've had a great time few nights back.
Unlike you guise (besides one large loud party under masks) our small town was quiet - there was a basketball game, and we've gone out for a cup of tea later.. Catholics were preparing for the All Saints Day (November 1st), so most of them remained with their families.
All in all - a calm and quiet night (again: aside from the huge party that the young ones had in the center).
Marija
Hi lovely Marija, thank you very much. We had a great Halloween for sure and I'm eager to share more details of our fun night here, asap. If I can get the photos sorted and post finished before I fall asleep tonight, it will go live tomorrow - otherwise on Saturday (2015's VSS announcement post will take center stage in the middle of the week).
DeleteA calm night is a beautiful thing any time of the year, if you ask me, but especially as October wraps up and we start looking towards winter once more.
I hope that November finds you well on all fronts, my dear friend, and wish you bliss and serenity all month long (and always!).
Many hugs from ever-chillier Canada,
♥ Jessica
I hope you enjoyed your Halloween! I'm finally getting around to reading your blog again, it feels like it's been too long since i visited.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I definitely did, though like all holidays and big events tend to, it did certainly drain my batteries and I suspect they'll take at least a week or two to recharge. I did must the energy to sort through our Halloween photos from this year and pen a post starring some of them last night/earlier this morning though, as I didn't want too many days to pass between the big night and when I shared my costume here.
DeleteWelcome back, it's always a sincere pleasure to hear from you, my lovely friend.
Happy start of November wishes!
♥ Jessica
